SKYLER D. COHEN

DEMOCRAT FOR MAYOR OF CRESSKILL (2025)

Better Spending. Better Schools. Better Cresskill.

CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORT

"Transparency in campaign finances reflects the same fiscal responsibility I advocated throughout this campaign. Every dollar is accounted for here."

This report provides a complete accounting of my 2025 Democratic primary campaign finances. As someone who advocated for transparent government spending, I believe in practicing what I preach.

Our campaign was a true grassroots effort, funded primarily through personal investment and small-donor contributions, managed with careful attention to every expense.

CAMPAIGN FINANCIAL ANALYSIS

This financial report demonstrates the lean, efficient approach that characterized our grassroots campaign. Several key insights emerge from these numbers:

I maintained financial discipline, spending only 63% of total receipts while running an active campaign
The largest single expense was voter outreach materials (yard signs), representing a direct investment in visibility
I invested in digital infrastructure that will continue serving the community beyond the campaign period
Administrative costs were kept minimal through careful vendor selection and efficient operations
No funds were spent on traditional expensive campaign items like professional consulting, polling, or large events

Cash on Hand Disposition

The remaining $192.44 in campaign funds will be handled according to New Jersey campaign finance regulations. Options include:

Donation to qualifying charitable organizations (e.g. Cresskill Cares or Cresskill Education Foundation)
Return to contributors on a pro-rata basis
Transfer to future campaign committee if applicable
Payment of any remaining compliance or administrative costs

CONTRIBUTION SUMMARY

Our campaign funding reflected the grassroots nature of our effort:

50% self-funded through my personal investment
50% funded through small individual contributions
No corporate or PAC contributions accepted
All individual contributions were well below legal limits
No contributions required special reporting or disclosure

This funding model allowed us to maintain complete independence while building genuine community support for our platform of fiscal responsibility, educational excellence, and transparent governance.

This financial transparency reflects the same data-driven, accountable approach I advocated for throughout the campaign. Thank you to every supporter who made this grassroots effort possible.
